ICF-North Texas Alliances Update
Success North Dallas Young Executives
By Mayme Doumbia, PCC, Director of Alliances
The ICF North Texas pro-bono coaching program with the North Dallas Young Executives was a huge success! Coachees focused on key areas like leadership skills, decision-making, career development, time management, work-life balance, and communication. A post coaching survey of coachees revealed that coaching helped them create actionable strategies, think with radical open-mindedness, and improve work-life balance by building better habits. Comments included:
“[The coach] helped me strategize and think of things differently,” and
“[The coaching] gave me good strategies for finding solutions myself.”
The coaches also provided feedback about the pro bono initiative commenting on how engaged and motivated their coachees were, achieving milestones like creating action plans and shifting mindsets.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the coaches who volunteered and participated in the program. Your dedication and readiness to serve are deeply appreciated and helps members of our community to see the value of coaching.
Our goal is to keep providing opportunities for our members to contribute pro bono coaching services. If you know of any local organizations who would benefit from pro-bono coaching, please contact Maymie Doumbia, Director of Alliances at
mayme@xcelsiorcoaching.com.

Ginnie Plauche, ACC, Founder of Sunshine Climate Co.
Why Coaching? Why My Niche? Coaching has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. It became clear to me that coaching was more than just a skill—it was my calling. When I decided to leave my full-time career, I made it a priority to deepen my understanding and refine my coaching techniques. My niche reflects my passion for helping leaders find their Leadership Identity, explore their level of emotional intelligence, navigate change with clarity, resilience, and purpose, particularly during pivotal moments in their personal and professional journeys.
A Client’s Transformational Journey: I was coaching a client on transitioning out of her career as the CEO of a non-profit organization. After four beautiful sessions, my client suddenly had her position eliminated. As a result of our sessions, she could see significant benefits to her life. Although this was a very challenging situation, she could walk forward with her Identity intact and hope as she healed through the sudden grief of losing the position. It was amazing to see her blossom since she already knew and had planned on a separation.
This story reflects the essence of my coaching—empowering individuals to navigate change with authenticity and purpose, even in the face of the unexpected.
Why ICF-NT? A Community for Coaches. When I decided to immerse myself fully in the world of coaching, joining ICF North Texas (ICF-NT) felt like the perfect choice—and it has proven to be just that. The organization provides not just a professional community, but a vibrant hub of connection, growth, and shared purpose.
As a three-year volunteer with the Membership Committee, I’ve seen firsthand the value ICF-NT brings to its members. The PCC LINC Group has been especially instrumental for me as I work toward completing my PCC hours. It’s a space where coaches can revisit the core competencies, receive encouragement, and support one another in their professional journeys—a true reflection of the collaborative spirit that defines this organization.
Through the relationships I’ve built at ICF-NT, I’ve been honored to serve on the Texas Coaches Coalition board, expanding my exposure to diverse coaching initiatives and opportunities. ICF-NT has not only enriched my personal development but also opened doors to meaningful connections, mentorship, and collaboration with other dedicated professionals.
Expertise and Credentials: I bring a strong foundation of training and certifications to my coaching practice. I earned my Professional and Executive Coaching certification from the University of Texas at Dallas’s Master’s-level coaching program, which aligns with PCC competencies. I currently hold an ACC credential and am on track to renew at the PCC level by April 2025.
I also hold certifications in EQ-i 2.0, 360-degree assessments, group assessments, and higher education assessments. These tools allow me to deliver personalized insights and strategies that meet my clients' unique needs.
Coaching Services: I offer coaching across a diverse range of specialties, including Executive Coaching, Health and Wellness Coaching, Leadership Development, Personal/Life Coaching, Small Business/Entrepreneur Coaching, Team/Group Coaching, College Leadership Coaching, Professional Services, and Business Owners
My expertise is centered on clarifying WHO clients want to be, unlocking potential, fostering growth, and creating meaningful impact for leaders and their teams.
