Remembering Russ Yaquinto
We will miss the big, warm hugs that Russ Yaquinto had for all in ICF North Texas where he has been a member for nearly 20 years and served as a dedicated volunteer on the Ambassador team. He passed away in January.
Through the years Russ would often welcome members at the front door of meetings with his friendly smile and welcoming presence. He made a significant contribution as a coach in the UT Dallas EMBA program and he was known for his generosity, often providing pro bono coaching and insights for deserving organizations and individuals.
As an MCC and the Principal of The Change Connection, Russ was a human development specialist, inspiring ‘aha moments’ that enabled people and organizations to accomplish more. He was a memorable author and speaker, certified in Performance Intelligence, Myers Briggs, and Winslow Personal Dynamics as well as trained in brain-based leadership.
He was a part of the first Board in 2003 alongside our first official President Judy Womack. He also served on TACT (the Ambassador's Calling Team) for several years before taking on the lead role of this outreach program. He could have been the Forrest Gump of our chapter, had it not been for his amazing intellect and quick wit. Russ was everywhere: Prism, volunteer coaching initiatives, North Texas Food Bank... if there was a place to serve, Russ was often the first to raise his hand. He was always there with a huge, engaging smile and a willingness to help our chapter, its stakeholders and our community at large.
We treasure his passion, integrity and service of others, and our hearts go out to his wife Jan and his extended family.
